Those (not so) subtle signs.
Today…was amazing. Today…was a life changing day. Today…was a day that the Lord showed me, an absolute nobody in the Kingdom, just how sovereign He really is. Today we were given a definite sign that we are on the path that the Lord wants us to be on. God let me catch a glimpse at how much he cares for those who try to follow him, I mean, really try. My Creator, my Heavenly Father, The God who created the billions of stars and calls them all by name, came down and intervened in my life in a way only He could do. I think I’m starting to get an idea of what was taking place in Isaiah 6:2-3…
“Above him were seraphs, each with six wings: With two wings they covered their faces, with two they covered their feet, and with two they were flying. And they were calling to one another: “Holy, holy, holy is the LORD Almighty; the whole earth is full of his glory.”
They were saying “Holy, Holy, Holy,” because that’s the only word that best describes the attributes of the God we serve. “Holy” is the only word they needed, because its perfect… because He’s perfect. God does NOTHING that isn’t perfect. We could never understand the amazing universal plan He has or where we fit in it, but I promise you this:
If you give your life to him, if you ask for guidance for every second of every day, and submit to his leading, He will blow your mind. He will humble you in ways you could never imagine. He will make you feel so minuscule next to His unfathomable greatness that you will only be able to weep and marvel at Him. If you give up totally, He will completely destroy your old life, burn it in the fires only He could stoke, crush it into dust with power only He could command and blow it into the wind that only He controls. Then, He will build you a new life in the City of Righteousness. A new life containing only Him, a life that is only worth living when He alone is the focus. When He is the center of your universe, you will be the center of His. The life we live now is fleeting, its a mere blink in the eye of eternity. Being a follower of Christ is far more than a life-choice or life-style. It’s life itself…period. Christ is life. Apart from Christ you are only breathing to death. If you haven’t made the choice to die to yourself and be risen again in Christ… I desperately urge you to.
